The inlaid mahogany case and precise mechanical works inside give it an air of luxury and sophistication which is hard to match. The clock is very accurate and precise, losing only about a minute or so in two weeks. However, the chimes of the clock can be muddy and dissonant out of the box. This problem can be solved by adjusting the chime hammers, which can take some time to figure out and do. But once the chime hammers are adjusted, the clock emits a clear and beautiful chime. Overall, the Hermle Clearbrook is a high-quality clock that is well worth the additional cost over cheaper battery-operated alternatives. Despite a slight learning curve in terms of adjusting the chime hammers, the exquisite craftsmanship and accuracy make this a highly desirable and charming timepiece.
