PolkAudio Surround Sound Systems SR2 Editorial Review
The Polk React soundbar is a decent option for those looking for a budget soundbar that is easy to install and use. The sound is good, with separate volume control for voices, but it is mostly weighted towards mid frequencies. It has limitations such as the inability to connect with other Polk wireless subwoofers except React and no provision for adding more than one set of speakers to the same soundbar. The soundbar is also not meant for DTS:X. The Alexa app works seamlessly but there have been reports of disconnections and, possibly, latent technical or network errors. The main remote is, however, a bit unresponsive. The pairing with wireless surround speakers and subwoofer has proved to be somewhat troublesome in some instances, but others reported having no issues. The React soundbar will pair with the React subwoofer and SR2 wireless rear speakers creating a wireless surround sound system. Additionally, it has a nice design that makes it a suitable fit for living rooms or media rooms.
