The Tuffy Security Products Console Safe is an effective solution to keep your valuables secure in your vehicle's center Console. The product is essentially an out bracket with a lid that locks into place within a required flow-through style center Console. Reviews suggest that the safe is easy to install and the simple design offers a professional look. The product seems to fit snugly in Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500/2500/3500, and Chevy Suburban/GMC Yukon XL without any difficulty. Although, the forward bin and hanging folder supports should be removed. A few users complained about the high price of the combo lock as it is not included in the package. It is also noted that the Console safe is not a true safe/vault, making it very easy to pry open, therefore it's not ideal for high-security applications. However, it can lock a pistol securely, and some users agreed that it's a must-have if you leave a handgun in your truck.
