ОПИСАНИЕ НА ПРОДУКТА
Boxer Splint, Medium-Right, Black
About This Item
Enhance comfort and support for your patients with a boxer's fracture using the Med Spec Boxer Splint in medium-right size and black color. This adjustable splint is designed to easily conform to the desired position, ensuring optimal immobilization and enhancing compliance. The adjustable design features malleable palmar and dorsal aluminum stays that can be easily bent to immobilize the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joints at the desired degree of flexion, while keeping the interphalangeal (IP) joints fully extended. This allows for customized support and immobilization tailored to each patient's specific needs. The internal soft plastic clamshell of the splint protects and supports the fourth and fifth metacarpals without restricting the flexion of the MP joints.
This ensures both comfort and effective support during the healing process. The splint also features a polypropylene felt liner that provides superb padding while allowing moisture to rapidly evaporate away from the skin, keeping the hand dry and comfortable. The ease of application is further enhanced by the patented V-Strap Retention System, which prevents the metacarpal closure strap from sliding out of the plastic buckle during application or removal of the splint. The finger and wrist closure straps are made with a soft elastic material that can be easily adjusted as swelling increases or subsides. Whether you need a boxer splint for a boxing injury or a hand injury, the Med Spec Boxer Splint in black, medium-right size is a reliable and supportive choice.
Its adjustable fit and thumb support make it suitable for athletes and individuals with active lifestyles. Additionally, its high-quality construction ensures durability and long-lasting performance. Don't compromise on the protection and support your patients need during the healing process. Choose the Med Spec Boxer Splint, available for purchase on our online store.
With its affordable price and top-rated quality, it's the ideal solution for patients with a boxer's fracture.

Nutritionist's Take
The 'Boxer Splint, Medium-Right, Black' is primarily a medical product designed for the immobilization of the hand, especially for injuries like boxer's fractures. As a nutritionist, it's important to note that while this splint aids in healing and supports bone and joint recovery, it does not have direct nutritional benefits. However, proper nutrition plays a crucial role in the recovery process from injuries. Adequate intake of vitamins and minerals, such as calcium and vitamin D, is essential for bone health, so a well-balanced diet remains vital for those utilizing such a splint. Potential drawbacks include the confinement and potential disuse of the affected area leading to muscle atrophy if proper rehabilitation isn’t followed post-healing. In summary, while the splint aids immediate physical health recovery, long-term well-being requires a holistic approach that includes nutritional support.
Med Spec Hand & Wrist Braces 223584 Editorial Review
Boxer Splint, Medium-Right, Black is an effective device designed to immobilize the hand for proper healing, particularly useful for injuries like fractures. With a weight of only 2.4 ounces and dimensions of 8 x 3 x 3 inches, it is lightweight and comfortable enough for daily use. Many users have found it beneficial for providing stability during the recovery process, allowing sufficient wrist movement while keeping the hand secure. Although some have mentioned slight discomfort with the straps or fit initially, adjusting them can enhance comfort. The overall feedback suggests that this splint is a reliable choice for rehabilitation, providing the necessary support without the bulk of a cast.
