The Hobart Handler 125 is a versatile welder that can be used with or without shielding gas. It operates on 110-volt input power and can accommodate 4- or 8-inch spools. The welder is made outside of the United States, but that hasn't affected its performance. The unit doesn't come with a gas regulator, so make sure to buy one if you plan on using the welder with shielding gas. Additionally, if you need to use an extension cord, select an extension cord of 12 AWG for up to 50 feet or 10 AWG for 50 up to 100 feet. While the Handler 125 can weld cast iron, it's not recommended due to the difficulty of welding cast iron. Overall, the Hobart Handler 125 is an excellent choice for home use, hobbyists, and small professional welding projects.
