The pads have good response and bounce, enabling easy drum rolls. It has independent volume for each pad, which is helpful since the hi-hat can be overwhelming. However, the controller has several issues such as ghosting, missed hits, lockup, and a non-responsive hi-hat, despite being a variable device. The kick pedal is also slow, making it hard to play fast note beats. The set needs assembling, and the wiring can be both problematic and messy. The kit is suitable for general use and will prepare a learner for advanced gear in the future.
