The internal cavity is deep enough to go over the left 12 mm axle spacer to allow removal of the center lock brake disc nut, and it works well with a Shimano centerlock rotor lockring (12x148) that has inner splines. However, its use is limited to only SRAM 12 sp cassettes and it cannot be used for other purposes.
