The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K is a popular low profile PCI Express capture card capable of recording all formats up to 2160p30 on a computer. This card accepts input from one video source at a time, using either the HDMI or SDI port, but not both at once. The card is capable of capturing clean HDMI from the Nikon Z6, capturing 4K HDMI signal from Sony A6500, and Xbox/Playstation gameplay with an HDCP 4K splitter that bypasses HDCP. The card is also capable of capturing 8 channels of audio but the audio quality suffers when used in this mode. Customers are advised to capture audio on ProRes 422, the use of which is recommended despite the large file sizes.
