Aqueon Tropical Granules is a freshwater fish food, approximately 1.5-2.0 mm in size, that sinks shortly after floating for a while. It does not cloud the water and can be used in auto feeders as well. The pellets are too big for some adult fish, such as cardinals, tetras, and platies, but work well for fancy goldfish and black moors, as they like it a lot. A review by a fisheries biologist with 50 years of experience in the tropical fish business suggests that the labeling of the product is incorrect as these are common small pellets and not granules. However, they are fresh and contain typical, mid-price fish food ingredients that many fish, especially those between 2-4 inches, will eat and grow well on. Overall, Aqueon Tropical Granules is good quality fish food that most fish will enjoy eating, depending on their size and teeth shape.
