Sequent Microsystems' 8-Layer Stackable HAT for Raspberry Pi is a versatile home automation card that can handle 8 analog inputs, 8 relays rated 24V AC or DC and up to 6A, open drain outputs that are PWM driven for proportional control, event counters, hardware watchdog, quadrature encoders and much more. Users looking to integrate other boards need not worry, as the product supports other Linux single-board computers so long as they come with I2C ports. Customers who have used the product for home automation and industrial automation are satisfied and praise the quality and value provided by the product. The Plibioplus ython software has also been praised for its ease-of-use. A drawback of the board is that the relays only have N/O contacts, and groups of opto-isolated inputs share a common ground, which makes it difficult to truly isolate them.
