For low light conditions, an external IR light source is needed to get the best results. The provided cable in the package is around 6 inches long. The camera comes with a clear plastic sticker lens cover that can be removed and a blue plastic sheet to filter certain wavelengths. The camera has received mixed reviews, with some customers stating that it worked perfectly fine while others experienced issues with focusing and connecting it to their Pi device.
